The cooling in every Dazy Dog cooling bed is genuine Outlast, the German temperature-regulating technology first developed for NASA. Not a generic cool-touch copy.
It regulates, not just cools
Cheap cooling mats only feel cold for a moment, then trap the heat. Outlast is active: it absorbs your dog's excess body heat, stores it, and releases it as they cool, holding them at a steady temperature all night.
NASA origins, German engineering
The phase-change technology was first developed for NASA to survive the extreme temperature swings of space. Outlast engineers and makes it in Germany, now tuned to your dog's own body temperature.
Built in for life, never washes out
The cooling lives in microcapsules with a hard shell rated to 240°C, embedded to last the life of the bed. It won't wear off and it won't wash out. Machine wash the cover and it comes back working like new.

Premium cotton, chosen for how it lets heat escape as your dog sleeps. Pre-shrunk during manufacturing so it holds its shape through years of washing. Zip it off, machine wash cold, air dry. It comes back the same shape it went in. Cotton that behaves like premium cotton should.

How does the cooling actually work?+
The cooling comes from Outlast, a temperature-regulating fabric made in Germany. The cover is built in two layers: the cotton you see on top, and an Outlast layer beneath it.
As your dog lies down, the Outlast layer absorbs their excess body heat, holds it, then releases it back as they cool, keeping them at a steady temperature instead of overheating.
Because the technology sits in the cover and not the foam, you can unzip it and swap in a Puffer or Bouclé cover for cooler months, and keep using the same bed all year.
What's the difference between this and those cheap cooling mats?+
Most cheap cooling mats use polypropylene, a fabric that only feels cold for the first moment, then traps heat. Your dog can end up warmer, not cooler.
